Mother's Day Picnic

Yesterday being Mother's Day David and Jon had planned our outing. We went out to eat at one of my favorite places Saturday (Little Hong Kong). Then for Sunday we got picnic items and headed out the road for a picnic. We ended up at Eagle Beach. It was super windy this didn't affect the older children. Orion on the other hand didn't like the wind and sun in his face so I spent most of my picnic time in the truck with him. It was a super relaxing and enjoyable time with my family.

On another note: You might be a red neck if.... you let your children ride in the back of your pick-up truck painted with brown house paint. Yes they are sitting in a seat with seat belts. The older boys wanted to ride in the back without the shell on. And of course what ever "BIG" brothers can do Justus wants to also. They enjoyed the very windy ride; as you can see in the pictures they have big smiles. Thankfully we gave Justus a sweatshirt before we left the house. About half way to Eagle Beach he decided it was a little chilly for just a tee shirt.

What were somethings you did for Mother's Day?

We had Bullwinkles and took a bike ride to the glacier.
I can't believe that the boys rode all the way to Eagle Beach in the back! You've got some tough cookies for sure.

We hung out all day together, relaxed, took the dog out to run at a beach, and enjoyed the day. It's a perfect mothers day for me if I don't have to do anything at all but relax.
