Matching PJ's

I like to put the little boys in matching pj's. They don't seem to mind and they look super cute. (the big boys won't let me put matching pj's on them anymore, I don't know why?)

This picture is of Matthias' wink. One of his little tricks he is trying to learn.

Glow Stick Amazement

Last night David used his glow stick he keeps for hunting to put the two little boys in pure amazement. Matthias all he could do was look with "big eyes". Justus was reduced to giggles and laughter. Both were entertained for quiet a while. In fact Justus even got to sleep with it. They make great night lights for little people who are not so sure of the dark.

20 Weeks

Well being pregnant with #6 it was bound to happen. My belly is getting bigger by the second. I already feel huge. I am thankful I am already half way done. I am hoping that this is not a clue of what is to come. Thank you everyone for your prayers.

First Day of Fall

I woke up this morning thinking to myself what a beautiful day it was yesterday. Got out of bed with David around 6:15am. Started getting David and the kids lunches ready and had a wonderful conversation on the phone. Little did I know what was out my front window. As I was getting the kids out the door I noticed the mountains peeking out from the clouds. Fall is surely here. It won't be long before this white stuff is on the ground. Thankfully it has not hit Thunder Mt. yet, when it does that is my clue that it won't be long before the snow is here to stay for a while.

The two mountains out our front windows with the beginnings of Winter!!!

On the Boat Again

Sunday afternoon we were able to take the boat out and try the new to us (used ) prop. It was really a relaxing time. Justus wanted to be with David and while we were on our way he fell asleep as you see him below. I was shocked he fell asleep because it was not such a smooth ride. Very bumpy and I was sure his legs would fall out from under him.
This rainbow was so vibrant. The picture does not do it justice.

Katie our book worm brought her book to read. She later said it was to bumpy to read.
I wonder why?

Matthias fell asleep in my arms. They sure get heavy when they are asleep.

Sleeping Baby

We beached the boat on Portland Island and played on the sandy beach for about an hour and a half. Matthias wasn't sure how to walkin the sand and fell several times. the hand print in the sand is from when he fell yet again.

I thought it was super cute so I hand to take a picture.

Adventuring with Dad is so fun.

Three big kids on top of big rocks.
Justus didn't understand why I wouldn't let him go too!

Two little boys playing in the sand.
Sand has a way of getting everywhere on little boys.
The best way to get it off is the bath, then of course it
becomes a chore to get it out of the bathtub.

Katie and Justus heading to the beach.

Matthias in the rock chair David constructed. David moved the flat rock to make a seat.

I must admit it was really comfortable.

The view from David's rock chair.

And last our family all together.

100% Miss Paden

Us with Judge Pat Collins

Us with our Lawyer Paul Grant

Today is an answer to prayers. In July we started the adoption process for David to adopt Katie. Today we had our court appointment with Judge Pat Collins, she was very kind and asked us a few questions along with our lawyer Paul Grant. And after about 15 minutes David was GRANTED by the court to be Katie's legal Father.

Our Katie is now 100% Miss Katelynn Marie Paden.

Praise God!!!

Psalm 127:3-5a

Children are a heritage from the LORD,
offspring a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one's youth.
Blessed is the man whose
quiver is full of them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
David and I are truly blessed. We have 5 wonderful children already and God has blessed us with another. Our newest addition will make HIS appearance in Feb of 2009. We thought we had closed a door, however God opened it. I was in total shock at first, but hearing his heart beat, seeing him move around during the ultrasound I am truly in AWE of God's amazing gifts. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Children truly are hard work and worth every minute we can spend with them. Pray that we will spend our time wisely and make good decisions when raising our children. And above all pray that we will put God first in all we do concerning our children and our lives.
Also if you have any BOY names fill free to give us some suggestions.
David and I are all out of names.
On the way home from the ultrasound I stopped by
Fred Meyers and got our "little guy"
his first outfit.
The Joys of Boys
Yesterday I was trying to teach Justus how to blow his nose. Needless to say this has never been an easy task for out children to learn. So with many tears and me telling him several times he needed to blow air out of his nose. He does it and then bust out in laughter because not only did he succeed, but he also blew this huge bugger on me.
Oh, the Joys of Boys.
I can't wait to see what is in store for me in the future.
What ever is in the future I know life sure won't be boring.
Mt. Roberts Tram
It has been an amazing day in Juneau.
David, Joe, and Luke were able to go out with Luke Woodruff today and prepare a path for easier Moose hunting. And Katie, myself and the little boys were able to enjoy some sun and get some errands done and then went up on the Mt. Roberts Tram later this afternoon. What a beautiful place we live in. Justus didn't get scared at all. He was quite fascinated with the ride up. We were able to hike around a little and even got to see the eagle named Spirit. It is amazing how big they really are. Matthias just hung out with me the the backpack. Both the little boys were very well behaved and several ladies commented on how beautiful their eyes were. The ride down we were in a very crowded car and couldn't really see anything. But never the less we sure had a wonderful evening filled with God's beautiful creation and NO RAIN!!!
