We were able to put up our Christmas tree on Saturday with the kids. Everything started out fine. We tested the snowflake, and the lights. Snowflake worked fine and the lights only 1 strand was working well. So David messed around with them and got them working again. So then I started to get the ornaments ready for the kids to put on the tree and proceeded to drop the snowflake on the floor. Yes, it did break, however not enough that we weren't able to use it. So we put everything on the tree and plug it is and low and behold only half of the lights were working and the snowflake was not. We are pretty sure some bulbs were broken when I dropped it and we are certain that the lights stopped working because Justus decided to fall into the tree while trying to hang an ornament and during his fall grabbed the first thing he could, the lights around the tree. Oh well at least it was a fun night with the family. So now my job is to take all ornaments off the tree again and put new lights up. The good news is that David was able to fix the snowflake. I am so thankful for this because it has been on the top of our tree since 1994, our first Christmas together after marriage. Katie was only 2 if you can believe that. Enjoy the pictures. All in All it was a wonderful evening and we were blessed by Our Amazing God.
