These are the pictures David took while they were hunting last week. They were hunting with Luke Woodruff and Jon U. (unsure of how to spell his last name) Jon got 2 deer and Luke got 1. David and Luke were unsuccessful, however they had a wonderful time. I asked him what his favorite part of the hunt was and he told me "being in the tent." Later I found out the Luke enjoyed keeping the wood stove going.
His favorite Mountain House dinner was the Lasagna w/ meat sauce. David told him to eat what he wants and he would finish the rest. These meals make servings for 2 and Luke was able to finish one it his own. The next night Luke wanted another Lasagna so this time David ate what he wanted first.
They did see a big buck, however Luke fell asleep while eating his lunch and David couldn't arouse him. So David took a shot. The shot of course woke Luke up and needless to say he was a little stunned. David told him to take a shot at the buck, but he had trouble getting his glove off to take a shot. Yes, David missed and the deer got away.
They had a fun time anyway and David said Luke wasn't ready to return home yet. And I am Thankful to have them both home again.
