We usually go through about 6 to 8 gallons a week. Yes... we drink whole milk. David sometimes will drink 2%, however he prefers whole. I would drink 2% and sometimes I buy it just for me. I don't buy skim because it just tastes like watered down milk to me. So my question is how much do you use and what kind do you buy?

We drink skim...and we like it that way! We can handle 1%, but I always feel like I'm just unnecessarily drinking extra calories. But when we were in Japan, we developed first a taste for and then a love for the whole milk they served with our school lunches. Oh, it was good.
We drink somewhere around 4 gallons a week.
WOW! We drink 1 percent- and we drink maybe a gallon a week... I did like that whole milk when we were buying it for Owen... But we also drink 1/2 and 1/2 in our coffee, and we go through a shameful amount of that! I like to think its because we just make such strong coffee...
we drink skim for the adults and 2% for the kids.

where do you get it for 1.44 a gallon? I would stock up to.
Well, we don't come close to drinking the 6-8 gallons you guys do. Marie drinks 1 gallon + 1 quart of whole milk every week. And then Bill (occasionally) and I have a gallon of skim milk every week.
we buy it in Tulia, Tx. we have a lot of cows near by - ha ha ha
Whoa, that's a lot of milk!! We drink whole, raw milk. We get it from an Amish farm in Yoder, KS for $2.50 a gallon. We only use about 2-3 gallons a week. We used to go through more when I was trying to make Kefir with raw milk but we didn't like it - it was more like curds and whey and less creamy. Maybe I haven't mastered the raw kefir technique yet. It works great with Braums milk - must be the homogenization. (Is that more than you wanted to know? ha!)
We don't drink much milk - although I do love very creamy milk - but we use it in our cereal and lattes'. You must drink milk like we drink water! ha!
