Of course we as parents are always looking for opportunities to let our friends and family know how wonderful our kids are. So here goes a bragging session.
Luke gets out of school at 2:30pm and yesterday with out being asked he picked up the snow shovel and got to work on the drive way. I must admit that this was and is a huge blessing because David can't really do it at this time. And we were expected to get between 9 to 15 inches of snow.
Katie walked to the bank to cash her checks and then went to Safeway and purchased the things necessary to make hamburger for dinner. Using her own money I will add. This was such a nice treat for me because I didn't have to plan dinner or think of something to make. And then she walked home caring 2 grocery bags & it was snowing pretty hard.
Joe while walking home from school yesterday noticed and elderly man shoveling his drive way and offered to help him. The fella didn't accept his offer, however felt like he could have a little conversation with him.
It sure does make your heart feel super good when your children serve & they don't expect to receive anything in return. What examples of Christ like behavior I as an adult can see in my children. We are truly blessed.
So thanks for letting me brag just a little :-)

You have the right to brag. All 5 of your children have been helpful to me on many occasions and it's always done with smiles and loving hearts. They are special! Kathryn
What a great service your children do for yours and others. When your in service of others your in service of the lord. Your children are great examples of this.
I ditto that. Your children are very loving and caring. I appreciate having the boys at the door at the church building greeting all of us and holding the door for us. I have also seen them sweeping the front walkway. Let them know we are appreciating them.
love
Janet
