Just Thinking....

Something like this????
(9 seats)

Or something like this???
(8 seats)

We are not going to get a new (used) vehicle as of yet.  Just something that we have been thinking about.
I love my YUKON, however with the boys getting longer legs.... they get uncomfortable fast.
What do you think?

We are being faced with this same issue right now (only not so large). We're pretty sure we're gonna have to get a minivan, b/c we can't fit three car seats in our Toyota Highlander! Yikes!

I'd avoid the van, and go for the suburban. Not much difference in storage, and you'd have one extra seat for grandma or grandpa, if needed!

My vote would be for a suburban type too. I think you'd have better storage with a suburban. We're looking into getting an Excursion, because they made diesel versions of those and that would make my husband happy. I don't think it's going to make that much of a difference for the amount of driving we actually do.
We're not quite ready to be mini-vaners!

I like the Excursions, too. Our old neighbors had one and they loved it. Lots of room, plenty of storage for their costco trips. My vote is for an excursion.

BTW, Ms. Rachel, what's wrong with a minivan?????

Yes I must admit I have always wanted a Yukon XL, however they are sooooo expensive. So the suburban is the next option. Which David knows this is what I am looking at for our next upgrade. However with the van each of the big kids would have their own bucket seat and LOTS of leg room. Which means less fighting. The only draw back for me and the van is it is not 4 wheel drive. So I will be praying about this topic. Thanks for all the input.

No 4 wheel drive...ew, that would be deal breaker for me.
And Dana, it's hard for me to describe. But mini vans just aren't for everyone. Plus, we think an excursion would be good for us, because it could pull the boat. I'm pretty sure a mini van would just poop out when the trailer hitch got near it. :)

Lol! You are right about that, Rachel. Sometimes the van poops out with the snow... but with the studded tires, it holds its own. I don't think we'll have to worry about a boat for a while though :0( We don't have the space or money for one.

Oh well!
