Nugget Falls

Tuesday I went for a walk with Rachel and Katie to Nugget Falls (Joe and Luke were on Shawn's boat halibut fishing). Next year the walk should be easier because they are redoing the trail to get to the falls. It was a beautiful day and the tourists were plenty. We saw many interesting things; like several tourists swimming in their underwear and one lady took off her pants to take her pantyhose off. Yes!!! We do see it all during tourist season. The cool part was watching a IceBerg roll over in the lake and hearing the glacier calve. Both of these things are something I have never witnessed since moving to Juneau almost 16 years ago. It was nice watching Katie play with the little boys in the sand (Isaac even put hand fulls down his diaper) and water because it was so warm. Orion slept almost the whole time in the ERGO (David calls it the nerdgo) he only woke up to fill his diaper and went back to sleep. I wish I had known he did this job because when we went back to the truck and I put him in his car seat I noticed he had leaked out of his diaper. I had two streaks of yellow on my shirt. Even with this happening it was a relaxing afternoon. Enjoy the pictures!!!
Here is the IceBerg we saw roll over. You can see the deep blue on the ice; this is the part that was under the water. We have a lot of burgs in the lake right now because it has been so warm here in Juneau. If you are ever visiting Juneau give us a call we would love to show you around our beautiful town.
