Bleeding Hearts

I have always wanted to plant bleeding hearts under my living room window.  I just think they are beautiful...  So this year I just did it "Just For Fun".  In the past I have gotten a couple and they haven't survived the winter. (mostly because they have had help in the department of picking or their roots have rotted because of to much moisture)  I am hopeful that these will do well in this whiskey barrel planter that I got.  These make me happy....  Just a note the planter will hopefully soon be on top of a concrete slab so we won't have to worry about weeds.

So what is a plant or something that you
wish or do have in your garden???

Oh a very fitting question for me right now. I had a dwarf rhody in our front floor bed that didn't make it through the winter. So I was looking into getting something to replace it. And then I saw it...practically ready to bloom and looking beautiful at fred meyer. I didn't even look at how much it was. And now I'm the proud new owner of a freshly planted peony plant. I've wanted one for a long time and it's just gorgeous in my flower bed.

Bleeding Heart plants are probably one of my favorite plants. They are so intricate and romantic.
Of course Roses are my "favorite". But I love Jasmine, Lilac, Wysteria, honeysuckle and other very fragrant plants are so nice to have.
But then again, a petunia is pretty, smells good and is forgiving ;)
